Overview

Pupille has been able to survive the crazy record industry ups and downs during 7 years with the most difficult music you can play to survive: post-rock. No catchy vocals to remain in your mind, not an easy structure to get relaxed at; not a single danceable beat and no sweetened sound. When after all this you can catch the listener, making your audience get bigger and bigger through the years, and not getting impressed by any hype or fashion, that means it’s time to pay attention to these guys from southern Catalonia. After two records («Monochrome», 2000 and «S/T», 2002) this compund of pseudo-olympic hymns proves that they are in their best moment of inspiration, and that there’s still some hope for compromised bands to have faith in a sustainable career.

True literature can only exist when it is created, not by diligent and reliable officials, but by madmen, hermits, heretics, dreamers, rebels and skeptics.
